One of the largest water spouts to spiral around these parts in recent times sent flimsy roofing flying over Tanjung Tokong at around noon.
The water spout appeared just north of the site where almost 900 acres of land reclamation work is now in progress in northern Penang Island.
The phenomenon came in the wake of nine earthquakes ranging from 4.7 to 5.2 which hit the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, North West of Penang, this morning.
