Pakatan Harapan Chief Secretariat Saifuddin Abdullah has denied a claim by the RF8 Army Youth Media that it had been appointed to represent the government in any way.
"We are referring to a media statement by the group called RF8 Army Youth Media which uploaded a claim that 'RF8 Media has received the mandate to become the official pro-government social media for Pakatan Harapan'.
"At no point did the government make any appointment or give any mandate to any group or individual to be our official social media," said Saifuddin in a statement today.
The RF8 Army Youth Media's social media page bears slogans such as "Angkatan Media Reformasi Gen-Y" and claims to be on the lookout for "state generals" in Kelantan, Negeri Sembilan, Perlis, Perak and Malacca.
It claims to represent the 18-30 age group and carry out work to counter false stories which would be disruptive to the harmony of the nation. - Mkini
