Sympathising with Perak Menteri Besar Ahmad Faizal Azumu for "waging a solo battle" against DAP, PAS has invited him to join the opposition's Muafakat Nasional coalition.
Perak Pas Commissioner Razman Zakaria stressed that Faizal's position is shakey due to the disputes among those in Pakatan Harapan which is further affecting the state and its people.
Hence, he extended his invitation to Faizal and assemblypersons who had "jumped ship" to Harapan without naming them.
"His (Faizal) position is turning severe following remarks by Perak PKR chair Farhash Wafa Salvador Rizal Mubarak and Perak DAP secretary Wong Kah Woh who clearly went against him.
"The tiffs among themselves will have a direct consequence to the state administration.
"How can they be in the same ship if they have different visions, and the captain is always arguing? This situation does not benefit the people," Razman was reported to have said by Harakah.
The Gunung Semanggol assemblyperson added that people's livelihoods have turned worse as a lot of allocations have been blocked.
A video of Faizal lamenting that he's waging a desperate battle along to protect Malay interests and Islam had gone viral on social media.
"In Perak, I am fighting a desperate battle alone against 'puak-puak' (factions) DAP.
"I want to defend the land of the Malays, I want to champion our religion," he was heard saying.
However, Faizal later claimed the video is an inaccurate representation of the discussion and that certain irresponsible parties recorded only a portion of his remarks.
Several ally members had raised concerns with Faizal's remarks with Farhash saying that the Bersatu leader does not deserve to be menteri besar. - Mkini
