PUTRAJAYA: Negara mengalami kerugian RM2.4 bilion setiap hari sepanjang pelaksanaan Perintah Kawalan Pergerakan (PKP).
Perdana Menteri Muhyiddin Yassin berkata jumlah kerugian sehingga kini sebanyak RM63 bilion, sejak PKP bermula 18 Mac lalu.
“Terhenti aktiviti ekonomi bermakna terhentilah sumber pendapatan negara. Cukai tidak boleh dikutip, industri tidak boleh berkembang, pertumbuhan ekonomi terencat dan yang paling ingin kita elakkan ialah lebih banyak perniagaan terpaksa ditutup dan ramai pekerja kehilangan pekerjaan.
“Jika PKP berterusan untuk tempoh sebulan lagi, negara kita akan kerugian RM35 bilion menjadikan jumlah keseluruhan kerugian RM98 bilion hampir RM100 bilion,” katanya dalam perutusan khas hari ini.
Dalam perkembangan sama, Muhyiddin berkata Malaysia berjaya memenuhi 6 kriteria yang ditetapkan Pertubuhan Kesihatan Sedunia (WHO) dalam menangani penularan Covid-19.
Antaranya memperketatkan kawalan sempadan negara untuk mengelakkan kes import positif Covid-19.
“Kedua, negara berjaya mengawal pergerakan untuk mengurangkan kadar jangkitan dalam kalangan rakyat tempatan dan meningkatkan keupayaan fasiliti kesihatan.
“Selain itu keupayaan menjaga golongan berisiko seperti warga emas, pesakit yang dirawat serta orang kurang upaya turut dipertingkatkan, selain melaksanakan amalan normal baru kehidupan seperti tidak berkumpul, tidak bersalam, penjarakkan sosial dan memakai penutup muka,” katanya.
Katanya, kriteria ke-6 yang berjaya dipenuhi negara adalah pemerkasaan komuniti untuk menjaga kawasan yang tidak dijangkiti seperti zon hijau.
Muhyiddin bagaimanapun turut menasihati rakyat supaya terus kekal mematuhi peratusan yang ditetapkan pihak berkuasa dengan mengamalkan normal baru.
“Jadi saya sedar, saudara-saudari bimbang. Saya pun bimbang juga. Dan memang telah pun berlaku di beberapa negara lain, apabila ‘lockdown’ dihentikan, jumlah kes positif Covid-19 meningkat semula dengan mendadak. Ini mesti kita elakkan,” katanya. - FMT
