All the three remaining state executive councillors seats in Perak state government have been filled by Umno lawmakers.
The trio who were sworn in at the Perak State Legislative Assembly earlier today were Lintang state assemblyperson Mohd Zolkafly Harun, Changkat Jering state assemblyperson Ahmad Saidi Mohamad Daud and Bota state assemblyperson Shahril Mohamed (above, from left to right).
Following this, Umno has emerged as the party with the largest representation in the 11-member executive council led by state menteri besar Ahmad Faizal Azumu.
In his opening speech at the Perak state assembly sitting today, Perak ruler Sultan Nazrin Shah said he had consented to the latest appointment of the three exco members.
"This morning, I have given assent to another three assembly members to be sworn in as members of the state executive council," he said.
On March 31, Ahmad Faizal appointed seven executive councillors, three from Umno and two each from Bersatu and PAS.
