First Zeti Aziz, Next Hamid Bador

When Mahathir took over as prime minister or PM7 in May 2018, he not only appointed a corrupt Zeti Akhtar Aziz as the PNB Chairman, but he also appointed an even more corrupt Abdul Hamid Bador as the IGP, Latheefa Beebi Koya as the MACC Commissioner, and Tommy Thomas as the AG.

Raja Petra Kamarudin

Tomorrow is Zeti Akhtar Aziz’s last day as the Permodalan Nasional Bhd (PNB) Chairman (READ HERE: Zeti steps down as PNB Chairman).

Of course, officially she has stepped down. That is normally how they would report it. But everyone knows she has been asked to step down because of her family’s involvement with Jho Low. The question now is whether after this she will be left alone to enjoy her millions or whether she is going to be facing a long trial in court.

Mahathir knew about Zeti’s links to Jho Low but still appointed her as the PNB Chairman

But what is mind-boggling is, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad knew about Zeti’s links with Jho Low. So why did he still appoint her as the PNB Chairman after knowing she is corrupt?

Well, that is Mahathir’s normal style. He will appoint “orang bermasalah” to key positions in the government so that they become subservient to him. That is how Mahathir controls people. He becomes the master and they become his slave.

Mahathir has been doing this since he became prime minister in 1981. And that was how he managed to stay on as prime minister for 22 years (and become the de facto prime minister after he retired in 2003).

The only AG in the entire world who cannot speak the country’s national language

Basically, Mahathir brought in “outsiders” and gave them key positions in the government. And the AG, IGP and MACC Commissioner are the three most important positions in the government (plus the post of Chief Justice, of course).

Tommy Thomas cannot even speak the national language while Latheefa Koya’s only real skill is in organising street demonstrations. And Hamid Bador had already retired two years earlier. Why appoint a retired police officer as the IGP when there are so many serving police officers with enough experience and seniority to become the IGP?

And, under the Police Act, only a serving police officer (not a retired police officer) can be the IGP. Hence Mahathir did not follow the proper procedure in the appointment of Hamid Bador as the IGP (plus Tommy Thomas as the AG, Latheefa Koya as the MACC Commissioner, etc.).

Hamid Bador is using the Special Branch to try to bring the Home Minister down

Just like Zeti, Hamid Bador is also supposed to retire because his contract is up. But he is fighting hard to stay on. That was why he revealed that “cartel in PDRM” story.

Of course there is a cartel in PDRM. Everyone knows that. And that cartel has been in existence long before many of you were born. But why reveal it only now, just when Hamid is supposed to retire?

Hamid is trying to campaign for public support to stay on as IGP. That is why he is revealing the existence of the cartel and is trying to give the impression that he is the lone crusader fighting against the cartel and is trying to clean up the very corrupt Malaysian police force.

And why does the IGP refuse to reveal those involved in the cartel after revealing its existence?

The truth is Hamid is very much involved in the cartel — and has been since he was in Sabah. How do you think the Sabah illegal logging, drug smuggling, and human trafficking syndicate can flourish in Sabah if without police protection? If you do not know this, then you are not a Sabahan.

Hamid Bador knows he may not be able to stay on and may have to go. So he is transferring all the police officers loyal to him to key positions so that he can become the de facto IGP and still control PDRM when he retires.

This is not only illegal because it countermands the Police Commission, but Hamid Bador very cleverly shifted the blame to the Home Minister, Hamzah Zainudin.

Transfer of police officers: Home Minister may have violated Police Act, says Patriot

(11 April 2021) – Persatuan Patriot Kebangsaan (Patriot) has joined the bandwagon in delivering a scathing rebuke against Home Minister Hamzah Zainudin for his alleged meddling in the transfer of senior police officers.

Patriot president Brigadier-General (Rtd) Datuk Mohamed Arshad Raji, in stating that he found news reports on the matter as very disturbing, said Hamzah may have contravened the Police Act by countermanding the Inspector-General of Police (IGP)’s order for the transfer of the officers.

***************************************************************************

Hamid Bador was the one who meddled in the transfer of the police officers and now he is trying to make it appear like it was the Home Minister instead who interfered. And then Hamid Bador got his Special Branch boys to release a so-called “leaked recording” of the Home Minister talking about the transfer of police officers.

It looks like the Special Branch is Hamid Bador’s private army whose job is to keep the IGP in power.

More importantly, Hamid Bador is on pre-retirement leave, so how could he come back to office to chair the meeting regarding the transfer of police officers? And it is not even the IGP’s job in the first place. It is the job of the Police Commission. Now we know who the real cartel boss in Bukit Aman is. Under Hamid Bador, Bukit Aman stinks to high heavens.
