Muhyiddin's son-in-law, lawyer now on Interpol's red list

Muhyiddin Yassin's son-in-law and a lawyer have been placed on Interpol's red notice list because the MACC wanted them.

According to Utusan Malaysia, this was confirmed by the Inspector-General of Police Razarudin Husain.

"Yes. We have done so. The red notice applies on them," he told the daily.

The two individuals are Muhammad Adlan Berhan, married to Muhyiddin's daughter Nabilah, and Mansoor Saat, a lawyer and key figure in NERS Sdn Bhd.

The MACC claims they were wanted over a project involving registering and storing biometric information for foreign workers. The duo fled the country in May.

Muhammad Adlan Berhan

Utusan Malaysia cited an anonymous source claiming Muhammad Adlan left the country from the Johor Bahru border crossing.

"He is believed to have departed for a third country," said the source.

Muhammad Adlan, through his lawyers, released a statement claiming that he was the victim of a "witch hunt" and suffered severe damage to his reputation after MACC publicly accused him of being on the run.

Mansoor Saat

He also claims that bank accounts both personal and those linked to his company have been frozen without notice.

As for Mansoor, he claimed that he was "collateral damage" due to political persecution.

In 2011, NERS Sdn Bhd was awarded a 12-year contract to monitor the immigration of foreigners to Malaysia as well as to issue the Visit Pass (Temporary Employment) (PLKS). - Mkini
