"pillars of party may remain Malay and Islamic"
- critics urged focus towards repairing economy, reforms
- pointed to ruling out secularism, defending race policies
- madayan said must not be too hasty in executing reforms
- If we rush we will be rejected by the people (Huh? Wt..?)
- madayan said "pillars of party may remain Malay and Islamic"
- but we will guarantee fairness for all races and religions
- Minorities silenced
- non-Malay members feel party becoming overly Malay-centric
- non-Malay party leaders, members complain increasingly sidelined
- despite strongly backing madayan and party for years
- non-Malay members’ complain only Malays for state exco posts
- in Penang, Selangor and Negeri Sembilan
My Comments :
So non-Muslims, especially Indians, dont ever hope to become "president" of a "pillars of party may remain Malay and Islamic" party.
Because you are not Malays and you are not Islamic.
Did you say you want to see reforms?Well here is your answer: "must not be too hasty in executing reforms"
So dont be too hasty ok?
You waited for 53 years already for reforms - nothing happened.
Now you just wait-lah for another 53 years.
What is your hurry?
Wait Without Hope
By: T.S. Eliot
I said to my soul, be still, and wait without hope
For hope would be hope for the wrong thing; wait without love,
For love would be love of the wrong thing; there is yet faith
But the faith and the love and the hope are all in the waiting.
Wait without thought, for you are not ready for thought:
So the darkness shall be the light, and the stillness the dancing.
