• ranks 67 economies worldwide

• Malaysia experienced  decline in nearly all factors 
• economic performance, govt efficiency, business efficiency 
• first time M'sia ranked lower than Indonesia and Thailand
• dropped 19 spots to 35th in domestic economy sub-factor 
• dropped 17 spots to 53rd in productivity and efficiency
• fell 7 places (34 out of 67 countries) in World Competitiveness Ranking
• dropped 4 places to 10th out of 14 countries in Asia-Pacific region
• fell 2 places (to 10) for basic infrastructure

• Singapore world’s most competitive economy 
• climbing four places from previous year 
• topping the index first time since 2020
• surpassing Switzerland (second) and Denmark (third)

 

My Comments : 

The gomen had no role in reducing the price of eggs by three sen. Because since October 2023 there are no more government price controls on chicken and eggs  :   "Oct 13, 2023,  KUALA LUMPUR – ....announced the lifting of price controls on chicken and eggs"

Telor dan ayam bukan lagi termasuk barangan kawalan harga.

Our telor ayam index has improved by 3 sen an egg. There is a simple and seasonal reason for this. There are no major "egg consuming" festivals about this time of year (like Raya Cina, Deepavali, bulan puasa, Raya Puasa). Egg supply is therefore more than sufficient. Hence the market prices adjusted themselves.

But according to FMT above,  in global competitiveness Malaysia has fallen down. 
We are behind Indonesia and Thailand. 
This reflects directly upon the quite clueless gomen. 
Singapore as usual is No 1 in the world.
