PETALING JAYA: Sabah PKR has called for its chief, Mustapha Sakmud, to be a part of the government’s implementation council concerning the Malaysia Agreement 1963.
Sabah PKR information chief Razeef Rakimin said this stand was made by the state leadership when it met today.
Mustapha, who is also deputy higher education minister, was appointed as the new Sabah PKR chief on May 26, replacing Sangkar Rasam.
Razeef also reiterated Sabah PKR’s support for Christina Liew, a former state PKR chairman, to continue leading Sabah Pakatan Harapan.
He said the state leadership also agreed to form a citizenship bureau to help the home ministry and state government to resolve documentation issues affecting Sabahans.
Sabah PKR also appointed seven new members to the state leadership council, namely former Parti Cinta Sabah member Ahmad Farid Sainuri, ex-Sabah Progressive Party Supreme Council member Roger Stimin, former Sabah PKR Wanita chief Rubiah Onga, Lim Fui Keong, Hugo Lean, Jamir Bajide and Ramlan Naim. - FMT
