A small group of protesters disrupted a US Independence Day dinner at a hotel in Kuala Lumpur last night.
In a video shared on social media, a protester from Gegar Amerika is seen using a megaphone to condemn the US and its complicity in the deaths of Palestinians.
"You are all complicit in genocide... America is responsible for sending weapons to Gaza and killing Palestinian children," the man shouts from the stairs of the hotel lobby.
Two men in suits then physically drag the man away, with uniformed security personnel keeping close.
They are met with a handful of other protestors in the lobby holding a banner accusing the US of complicity in genocide.
The group also chants "Free Palestine" before the banner is taken away from them.
More than 37,000 Palestinians - mostly women and children - have been killed in Israel's war on Gaza, in retaliation for a Hamas attack in October last year that killed 1,139 people, mostly civilians. - Mkini
