Sepang police chief Norhizam Bahaman said the woman had taken a while to return after entering the mall, which angered her husband.
He said the man left his home after the video clip went viral and is believed to have slept in his car since then for fear of being arrested by the police, Sinar Harian reported.
In the video clip, the woman is seen walking out of the mall and stopping as she is approached by a man who had a child with him. He then slapped the woman on the face and said something angrily to her before they both left the mall.
Police said a suspect was nabbed in front of a clinic in Kota Warisan at 10am yesterday, about a week after the incident took place. A remand order was obtained today placing him in custody for three days. - FMT
