Workshop worker illegally uses client’s car to return to hometown; karma strikes when the vehicle bursts into flames

 

WE put a good deal of trust sending our cars into those shady looking automobile workshops. Stories of mechanics sabotaging the car of  their clients to charge more for their services is nothing new.

But sometimes, these mechanics and their workers take things to the next level as seen in this recent video. According to netizen @jllmisai who posed the video, a worker from the workshop took the car out for a ride back to his village.

Such audacity. And he would have gotten away with it too until the god of karma decided to hand out punishment by sitting the car on fire.

If this was a habit by the worker, finally it was revealed in the most dramatic fashion. “With such a case, who should pay for the compensation? The workshop owner? The worker or the insurance company?” @jllmisai wondered. 

According to netizen @Deegee4646, this case was liable for criminal and civil charges. “If he brings the car out without permission and knowledge from the owner, that is stealing,” said @najib_jaafarB2u.

On the other hand, @FazreenPutri shared that she had a similar experience. Then there was @JesseAaron543 who sarcastically said the worker from the workshop should just lock himself up in the car to be safe.

“No wonder there are some workshops where the car has some minor problems but even after weeks, the repair is not done. They bring it to their village,” said @deqalb.

But the topic hilariously took a turn into politics where @rjibrahimm said this was the fault of Anwar Ibrahim.

We can only wonder if @rjibrahimm blamed PMX too if he suffered from constipation due to the lack of vegetables in his diet. Regardless, one thing is certain. That car will need more than a repair now to bring it back into shape, if it ever gets back into shape, that is. — Focus Malaysia
