The group says no charges have been filed against Sunrise Manner Sdn Bhd director Tang Tiam Hok.

Mayu Global said Tang Tiam Hok was called in by MACC on Sept 19 and 23 under the MACC Act 2009.
“At this juncture, the board has been informed that no charges have been filed against Tang.
“The company will continue to monitor the situation closely while making further announcements as and when there are material developments,” Bernama reported it as saying in a stock exchange filing.
Mayu Global said MACC had issued freezing orders on Sept 23 on SMSB’s bank accounts pursuant to Section 44 of the Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Terrorism Financing and Proceeds of Unlawful Activities Act 2001.
“The freezing orders are valid for 90 days from the date of issuance,” it said.
According to the company, the frozen accounts are with Maybank Islamic Bhd and CIMB Bank Bhd.
“Following a comprehensive assessment of the group’s financial position, cash flow projections for the next 12 months and availability of hire purchase facilities, the freezing of the bank accounts is not expected to have a material financial or operational impact on Mayu Group,” it said. - FMT
