Is spaghetti burger a thing now? Netizens say a huge no

LIVING in Malaysia, we are no stranger to the wide array of new food being churned out everyday.

Everyone wants to be a pioneer of something special, since trend setters enjoy the limelight and incidentally, a crowd of customers.

Quite a number of Malaysians have this FOMO mindset when it comes to stuff that are trending on the internet.

Hence, the battle for weird, “innovative” meals continue to grow and we can only shake our heads in disbelief.

Previously, it was a burger with tiger prawns which came with the shell intact. Now it is a spaghetti burger, as though spaghetti and burger do not have enough variation as it is.

According to a video by netizen @kamaghul, the burger patti is mixed together with spaghetti, sausage, cheese and sardine.

The result is a slimy, unrecognisable blob. If not for the burger bun haphazardly crowning the top of this, whatever this is, we would not have known that it was a burger.

Thankfully, the stall keeper had the foresight of giving the customer a fork to eat the meal since we are no longer able to bite at the burger with all that mess overflowing.

Netizen @NorshafiqM said in the comment section that nowadays, many people would line up to eat cow dung if it was fried.

Then there was @NKitsui pointing out that it is becoming like Indonesia, although he did not elaborate on his statement.

For another netizen, it was obvious he was very sceptical about the ingredients used in the cooking.

Despite the weirdness, a seasoned food blogger shouldn’t bat an eyelash considering the wealth of “innovative” meals out there, take for example, the nasi lemak burger we had in the past.

Now that we think about it, the spaghetti burger is pretty tame compared to the other ones out there which would better qualify as a curio in a museum.

But here is the important question. Care to try it?—Focus Malaysia
