'Bossku' rebranding exercise won't erase Najib's scandals - KJ

CAMERON POLLS | Rembau MP Khairy Jamaluddin Abu Bakar does not believe the rakyat will forget the scandals associated with former prime minister Najib Abdul Razak.
Asked about Najib’s latest “Malu apa Bossku?” campaign, Khairy pointed to Najib’s upcoming court cases.
“I don't think people will forget (the scandals).
“There is a court case that is coming up,” he said after campaigning for BN at the Orang Asli settlement at Kampung Pantos in Pos Lanai, Jelai today.
Najib is scheduled to be tried at the Kuala Lumpur High Court on Feb 12 for criminal breach of trust and for laundering RM42 million in relation to a former 1MDB subsidiary, SRC International Sdn Bhd.
His lawyers are attempting to postpone the case.
Since BN and Umno lost power in the 14th general election, Najib has increasingly used his social media accounts to take digs at - or “troll” - the Pakatan Harapan government.
His popular comments have earned him the moniker “King of Trolls”, a title he has fully embraced.
Two weeks ago, Najib embarked on a new social media campaign featuring him on a motorcycle with the now infamous slogan “Malu Apa Bossku?” which loosely translates to “What's my boss gotta be ashamed of?”
Not my boss anymore
Khairy was grateful nevertheless for the former PM's efforts in assisting BN’s campaign for tomorrow's Cameron Highlands by-election.
“He is helping out in the campaign. As long as he is able to go around and assist with the machinery, that’s fine,” he said.
Throughout the 14-day campaign, Najib brought his “Bossku” brand to the ground while canvassing for BN among Felda settlers and the Orang Asli.
He appeared in T-shirts bearing the slogan, rode on motorcycles and often led “Malu Apa Bossku” chants.
Asked if he himself will be addressing his former Umno president as “Bossku”, Khairy appeared reluctant.
“He is not my president anymore,” quipped the former Umno Youth chief. - Mkini
