A FORMER special officer to Najib Razak has threatened to sue administrators of a Whatsapp chat group for Putrajaya residents after he was unceremoniously removed from it.
Isham Jalil, who chairs the group Sukarelawan Malaysia, said he will sue the administrators of the Putraya Precinct 10 Residents’ Association Whatsapp group for discriminating against him for criticising the Pakatan Harapan government.
“This is no ordinary WhatsApp group, it is a WhatsApp group for registered residents. I own a piece of property there,” Isham said in a statement on Facebook today.
Isham, a Harvard and Wharton-trained political economist, said he was removed for sharing articles critical of the government in the group.
“All the while, before the 14th general election, there has been many anti-BN (Barisan Nasional) postings as well as verbal attacks on the former prime minister (Najib) in the WhatsApp group, but no one was removed from the WhatsApp group.
“Now when I post and criticise with my facts, I was removed because the government supporters are hot-headed and dissatisfied.”
Isham said as a result of his removal, he could no longer keep up on developments in his neighbourhood.
“I know the law. And I know my rights. I will file a suit against those responsible.”
