It wasn't me, says Fuziah of 'deputy minister abusing gov't machinery'

Kuantan MP Fuziah Salleh today clarified that she was not the deputy minister who had allegedly used a Pahang government vehicle to campaign in the Cameron Highlands by-election.
Pahang state secretary Sallehuddin Ishak had said the vehicle was loaned by the state Forestry Department to a deputy minister for official use and instructed for its return after it was plastered with Harapan flags in Cameron Highlands.
He did not reveal who the deputy minister was but a blogger under the name of Yusman Zahari Zakaria had accused Fuziah of abusing government assets.
Fuziah said the allegation was slander and threatened legal action if he did not apologise within 24 hours.
"I strongly deny the accusation and challenge him to present evidence instead of hiding behind a blog and Facebook," she said in a statement.
Fuziah stressed that she had taken leave as deputy minister in the Prime Minister's Department in order to campaign for Harapan in the Cameron Highlands by-election.
"I have also used my own vehicle throughout the campaign period," she said.
Polling day for the Cameron Highlands by-election will take place on Jan 26.  - Mkini
