THICK-SKINNED OR NOT, NAJIB DARES TO SAY IT: ‘MANY PEOPLE MISS MY LEADERSHIP, SOME EVEN SAY I SHOULD BE PRIME MINISTER AGAIN’ – YET ONLY A ROYAL PARDON CAN SAVE HIM & ROSMAH FROM GOING TO JAIL

IN praising Barisan Nasional’s track record, Najib Razak said many people wanted him to be prime minister again and continued to seek his help, even though there was nothing he could do now.
At a visit to Kampung Kerinchi residents in Pantai Dalam, where he held a meet-the-people session and dialogue today, he said after Pakatan Harapan’s seven months in power, people were bombarding his Facebook page with messages saying that he ought to be prime minister.
He said many had sent him messages saying “Saya rindu zaman DSN (I miss Datuk Seri Najib’s era)” on his social media accounts.
“If I was bad, why did they send me all those messages? If PH is so great, (people wouldn’t be saying) ‘I miss Najib’s era’.
“On my Facebook, my Instagram and my Twitter, everyone is telling me that they miss me,” Najib told residents.
Chief among the complaints he received was the prices of goods, he added.
He said he visited wet markets regularly to keep abreast of prices, and had received negative feedback from consumers and traders.
“This morning, I was at the Taman Muhibbah wet market and I was shocked to receive many negative comments from the public about PH.
“According to them, the prices of goods have increased since PH took over. Things are getting more expensive by the week.
“They even asked me to help but I answered: what can I do now? I wish I could help them.”

Najib has remained vocal since BN lost the 14th general elections in May last year, posting regularly on his social media to attack the new government.
The Pekan MP is facing 39 charges brought by the PH government for corruption, money laundering and tampering with a 1Malaysia Development Bhd audit report.
However, Najib said PH has been lying to the people after its May 9 election victory.
“The people have been fooled since Day One. They called themselves Pakatan Harapan but in reality, they are Pakatan ‘Hancing’,” he said, using a Malay word that refers to the smell of urine.
“They say if Najib is brought down, the ringgit will go up; if Pakatan wins, there is no more toll; the price of fuel will go down, and so many other promises.”
“But what do we get today? Nothing except lies. They lie to us and have done nothing to help the people. My nine-year tenure as the PM was far better their eight months in power,” Najib told the audience.
He said that BN would continue to speak up for the people despite being blamed for all of PH’s mistakes.
“Barisan Nasional will continue to champion the people,” he said before ending his speech, which drew an audience of about 200 residents.
He stayed for a little over an hour at the Kerinchi Residence Condominium, where he spoke before leaving this evening.
