GEORGE TOWN: Police are now on the hunt for a man who hit a cashier after he was told that he could not buy three packets of cooking oil as the limit was two per customer.
The incident which took place at 8.40am on Tuesday (Jan8) at a mini market in Bayan Lepas was caught on CCTV.
Balik Pulau OCPD Supt A. Anbalagan said police had identified the suspect who hit the 29-year-old cashier.
"The suspect came to the store to buy three packets of cooking oil but the cashier said customer were limited to two packets each.
"As a result of the incident, the victim has back pain and fears over the threat from the suspect," he said.

The case is being investigated under Section 506/323 of the Penal Code for criminal intimidation.- Star
