A Pertinent Comment On The Private Healthcare Care Act - The Government Does Not Care About The People

Private hospital costs rocketed out of the sky racing straight to Mars when the p_rno Health Minister Chua Soi Lek with his equally randy and highly corrupted health DG I___il M____an conned Parliament and rammed thru the Private Healthcare Act 1998 in 2006. 

Prior to this, Chua Jui Meng now the very Reverend Chua, being a lawyer, had prevented the Bill from even reaching Parliament as he knew this Bill will be :

• open to abuse
• cause healthcare prices to shoot thru the roof and 
• provide a monopoly to corporate hospitals 

who will buy up specialists from the public sector and cause a whole lot of cost effective shoplot and small practices to shut down. 

Meaning Malaysians will have only two choices. 
Either go to a corporate hospital and declare bankruptcy.  
Or end up in a government hospital and die quickly. 

The PH government had at various times promised that the Private Healthcare Act would be repealed. 
Even BN Ministers were talking about it before they fell off their pedestal. 
But nothing happened. 

Today everyone pays the price. 

Big corporations own hospitals, steal specialists and serve mainly foreigners especially in Penang, Melaka, KL and even IJN. 

So where do ordinary Malaysians go ???? 

Chandran should get his facts right 
and get PH to repeal the Act 
and force the private sector to open up (to more competition) 
driving prices downwards. 

The MOH should butt off as they are the cause for this mess in the first place. 

Even in the UK and Australia many private practices are shoplot ones. 
This includes the famed Cromwell Hospital and Harley Street Clinic. 

All those hidden costs are to satisfy the high capex, high cost of land, premiums, a million internal licences thrust upon them by MOH to rent seekers, returns to shareholders and the high cost of financing. 

You loose the capex game, expect all sorts of financial acrobatics to recover the money for your shareholders in the form of a grossly inflated hospital bill. 

And this is exactly what the corporatised monopolists of Malaysian Healthcare are doing.

Chandran should wake up and look deeper than the hospital bill. 

The genesis of that bill lies in the wrong policies and laws enacted by the kleptocratic government.  

(OSTB : Which is now being perpetuated by the PH government.)

But like OSTB states, cant expect the Quran song reading MInister of morn (sic ??) to understand the depth of the problem until they loose a loved one. And even then it wont matter as takdir and tuhan will be blamed. 

So expect healthcare to run on autopilot for the next 100 years. 
We are easily 30 years behind Singapore, Australia and the UK. 
Dont even dream of comparing ourselves to the USA and Sweden.

My comments :  Thank you.  The point that is most certain is that  the people are being screwed by the laws and government policies.  By both the old BN government and now by the PH government.  Nothing has changed.
