The Attorney-General’s Chambers (AGC) has filed an appeal against former prime minister Najib Abdul Razak’s stay order for the trial of his SRC International Sdn Bhd case.
The Kuala Lumpur High Court was also told today that the AGC will file a certificate of urgency on their appeal against the stay.
“We are hoping by next week the Federal Court can hear our appeal on the stay,” deputy public prosecutor Manoj Kurup, who is also the head of prosecution in the AGC, said to the Kuala Lumpur High Court today.
In addition to that, he added they have also filed an appeal yesterday against the Court of Appeal’s decision to allow Najib’s appeal to produce lawyer Sulaiman Abdullah’s letter of appointment by the AGC.
