Pengurusan Aset Air Berhad (PAAB) announced today that Abdul Hadi Ali was appointed by the Finance Ministry as its new CEO effective March 19.
Hadi joined PAAB in April 2010 as an assistant general manager of the treasury under the finance division, and was promoted to chief corporate officer in 2013.
Prior to that, he held roles in overseeing the negotiation over the state government migration and water operation in water service industry restructuring, migration under the asset-light regime of PAAB, and was responsible for the corporate division.
He was designated as chief treasurer after an internal reorganisation in May 2018, which saw the treasury function assigned to him.
He has over 20 years of experience both in the corporate and banking sectors. He has previously worked for Petronas, Aseambankers Berhad, Hwang DBS Securities, KAF Discount Berhad (later KAF Investment Bank), Islamic Development Bank.
PAAB was established in May 2006 as a wholly owned company under Minister of Finance Inc, part of the federal government’s efforts to restructure the water service industry in the country to achieve better efficiency and quality.
