PARLIAMENT | Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng today tabled a bill for a RM15.5 billion supplementary budget in the Dewan Rakyat to top up last year's budget from the BN administration.
The government is requesting additional funds of RM15,485,384,142 to supplement Budget 2018's development expenditure.
The initial development allocation in Budget 2018, which was tabled by former prime minister Najib Abdul Razak, was RM46 billion.
The Treasury will receive the lion's share of the additional allocation with RM9.2 billion, followed by the Works Ministry with RM1.97 billion.
Lim told Dewan Rakyat Deputy Speaker Mohd Rashid Hasnon that he intends for the second reading of the Supplementary Supply (2018) Bill 2019 to take place within this sitting.
