GEORGE TOWN: The seizure notice on the RM25mil bungalow in Tanjung Bungah, owned by the mother of fugitive businessman Jho Low, has gone missing.
A neighbour, who declined to be named, said she noticed the bill on the gate missing when she walked past the house on Monday (March 25) morning.
Last Thursday (March 21), officers from Bukit Aman’s Anti-Money Laundering and Anti-Terrorism Financing Prevention division had enforced a notice of seizure for the property.
The notice was signed by deputy public prosecutor Syafinas Shabudin.
The bungalow is owned by Low’s 66-year-old mother and has a built-up area of around 30,000sq ft and a land area of about 20,000sq ft.
It has a swimming pool, a wine cellar and a lift.
In 2018, Jho Low’s super yacht Equanimity, which was reportedly worth US$250mil, was also seized in relation to the 1MDB case.
