Perlis mufti's car torched

Perlis Mufti Mohd Asri Zainul Abidin's vehicle was torched in front of his home in Kangar this morning.

The car's windshield was smashed and its bonnet was hit with a petrol bomb, according to Berita Harian.

Perlis police chief Noor Mushar Mohd said cops received a call from Mohd's Asri's residence at 6.05am.

"Police together with the Fire and Rescue Department went to his home and found a black Honda Accord with its front bonnet on fire.

"The fire was put out by the Fire and Rescue Department. There was severe damage to the front bonnet, engine and windshield on and front and back," he was quoted as saying.
