PKR AGM | The remaining crowd at the PKR congress chanted for those involved in a walkout today to be sacked from the party.
The 2.50pm walkout was a sign of protest shown by party deputy president Azmin Ali's supporters, citing unhappiness over the speeches made by delegates.
Federal Territories delegate Che Zam Hamzah said he would like to move a motion for the walkout to be referred to the party's disciplinary board.
"I want this matter to be brought to the disciplinary board," Che Zam said in his speech, as the crowd gave him a thunderous applause.
"Because they (who staged the walkout) did not follow the rules of the party and did not obey the understanding of Pakatan Harapan," he added.
At this point, the crowd — who was on their feet — began to chant, "Sack them, sack them".
Che Zam (photo below) had earlier whipped the crowd into a frenzy when he began to talk against those who might stop PKR president Anwar Ibrahim from becoming the eighth prime minister.

"There better not be anyone stopping Anwar from becoming the eighth prime minister. There is no compromise," he said as the crowd began to applaud him.
"I have had enough. Enough is enough," he added, which caused the crowd to give him a standing ovation.
He then began leading a chant of "Enough is enough" from the crowd.
Eventually, party permanent chairperson Ahmad Kassim urged the delegates to stay calm.
"Please sit down, be calm. The permanent chairperson is also the chairperson of the disciplinary board, the message has been received," said Ahmad Kassim who is also PKR disciplinary chief.
Anwar and Azmin were supposed to have agreed on a ceasefire during the congress.
Both leaders had adopted reconciliatory tones during their addresses at the congress and appealed for rapprochement.
Although there was no clear sign of a rift during the speeches made during the PKR Youth and Women's wing congresses yesterday, a significant number of delegates for the main congress took veiled jabs at Azmin this morning. - mkini
