As more people are allowed to go back to work in the fourth phase of the movement control order (MCO), the government is looking into the standard operating procedures (SOP) to reopen childcare centres.
In a media conference in Putrajaya today, Defence Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob said the government will discuss the matter in a meeting tomorrow.
"We understand there are parents who go to work and there's nobody to take care of their children.
"We will look into this matter tomorrow to come out with a detailed SOP," he said.
Childcare centres are among services which are still not allowed to operate under the MCO which began on March 18.
Meanwhile, Ismail said the government is reviewing other requests and is expected to ease the restrictions in the fourth phase of the MCO.
