Covid-19: Three new deaths, 184 cases, 165 recoveries

CORONAVIRUS | The number of new cases has overtaken new recoveries today, with 184 new infections reported, while new recoveries were at 165.
There were also three new deaths, bringing the death toll to 73.
Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said total cases were at 4,530, with total recoveries at 1,995. There are 2,462 active cases.
Of the current cases, 72 were in ICU, three more than yesterday.
Of the critical cases, 38 are on ventilators, two less than yesterday.
The three new deaths are as follows:
Patient 3,091 (71st death)
A 66-year-old Malaysian man with a history of diabetes, hypertension, and gout.
He was a close contact of "Patient 452" who is from the Sri Petaling gathering cluster.
He was treated at the Tuanku Ja'afar Hospital in Negeri Sembilan on April 1 and died at 12.05pm today.
Patient 537 (72nd death)
A 71-year-old Malaysian man with a history of diabetes, hypertension, and heart disease.
He was treated at the Sungai Buloh Hospital on March 15 and died at 11.15am today.
Patient 2,399 (73rd death)
A 63-year-old Malaysian man with a history of hypertension.
He was treated at the Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital, Perak on March 25 and died at 12pm today.
Meanwhile, of the total cases, Noor Hisham said 224 involve Health Ministry health workers.
Of the group, 150 were infections were from close contact.
Another 41 cases were infections from patients who either had severe acute respiratory infection or patients' whose Covid-19 status was unknown.
Three healthcare workers were also infected from screening or from being on the field.
However, Noor Hisham stressed that no health workers working in Covid-19 wards had been infected.
