KUALA LUMPUR:A French woman was fined RM500 or four weeks’ jail in default today for showing her middle finger to a policeman at the Travers police station here on Thursday.
Priscillia Miard, 31, pleaded guilty at the magistrate’s court to behaving in a disorderly manner at the complaint counter of the station at 12.30pm on April 16.
The prosecution stated that the woman, who is studying at a local university, had come to the police station to obtain a travel permit to return to her house in Langkawi.
Non-essential outstation travel has been banned since March 18 under the movement control order, and can only be carried out with a police permit.
