Here is some Indonesian news from 2017 - 2018 where its main character has suddenly popped up again in the news.

• pictures aren’t engineered, they’re real said Police 
• phone numbers matched Rizieq and Ms. F___a in telecommunications databases

JAKARTA (2018?) — public figure in pornography, extramarital affair 

center of scandal is Rizieq Shihab — leader Front Pembela Islam 

Indon police said Rizieq would be charged with pornography 
screen captures emerged of sexually explicit text messages
between Rizieq and woman who is not his wife

Rizieq fled to Saudi Arabia after police summoned him 
police said (in 2018) he was wanted as a suspect
effectively announcing they would charge him with crime

pornography undermined personal credibility of Rizieq 
website “The Love Ballad of Rizieq” featured text messages, nude photos

My comments :  This fellow still is the head of the Salafis in Indonesia. Or one of the major kepalas.

In later developments the Indonesian police dropped their investigations against Rizieq Shihab.

But Indonesians say that stopping the investigations was politically motivated.

As late as December 2019 this fellow has not come back to Indonesia and remains in Mecca, Saudi Arabia.
