Other than the earthquake in the Philippines the Anak Krakatoa has also exploded. Here is some news:

My comments : Seismic stations all over the world record thousands of earthquakes everyday. It is a common phenomenon. The earth's crust is constantly moving. These daily earthquakes are relatively small, say 2 to 3 on the Richter scale. They go unnoticed by humans and animals too do not get frightened.
But when the tremors get bigger then we see strange animal behaviour.
That elephant entering the Kluang General Hospital on the night of 9th April 2020 coincides with volcanic and seismic activity in the region.
The Anak Krakatoa eruption (began on 10th April?) and the two quakes in the Philippines (5 - 6 on the Richter) yesterday 11th April, 2020.
Another totally weird animal story is a stray cat that entered my mum-in-laws house in Bangsar on 10th April 2020 (Friday) and pooped on a bed. They had to get rid of the sheets and the mattress.
Wild animals abandon the safety of their environment out of fear.
Once the threat is over they go back into the jungle.
Stray cats venture into peoples' houses and behave strangely.
I believe there is a correlation (which should be picked up by Science someday) between the intensity of an earthquake / natural disaster and the degree of strange animal behaviour.
