MOH receives ventilators, airconds, face masks and cash contributions

CORONAVIRUS | The Health Ministry this afternoon received multi-million ringgit worth of contributions from the private sector and the Chinese Embassy in Kuala Lumpur as assistance in handling the Covid-19 pandemic.
In a small ceremony held at the ministry's headquarters in Putrajaya, among the items that were supplied to the ministry include 30 sets of ventilators and patient monitoring systems worth RM2.7 million contributed by UEM Edgenta and 80 air conditioner sets from Midea Scott and English Electronics Sdn Bhd.
The embassy, represented by China’s ambassador to Malaysia, Bai Tian, also handed a total of 390,000 face masks, including 40,000 pieces of N95 masks, to Health Minister Dr Adham Baba.
Also present were executives from Heitech Padu Bhd, which contributed RM100,000 to the government's Covid-19 Fund and electronic medical record system, Reckitt Benckiser Sdn Bhd (100,000 pieces of Dettol soap); and Linde Malaysia Sdn Bhd (RM100,000).
Tabung Haji also gave its contribution of 205 bottles of Zamzam water to the ministry.
During the ceremony, Adham was heard extending his appreciation to Bai Tian and all the company representatives for their generous contribution to help the ministry. - Mkini
