After more than a year of his resignation as the Selangor Umno liaison committee chairperson, Noh Omar is back to helm the party's state chapter.
The Tanjong Karang MP took over the position from Mat Nadzari Ahmad effective yesterday.
This was announced by Noh (above) via a Facebook posting yesterday.
For the record, Noh resigned from the position in June 2018 following the failure of the state chapter to win over Selangor from Pakatan Harapan in the 14th general election.
The posting reads that Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi had reappointed Noh as the chairperson after Nadzari and his deputy Megat Zulkarnain Omardin had agreed to return their positions to the party president.
However, Megat retained his position as the Selangor Umno liaison committee deputy chairperson.
Noh will select the liaison secretary, treasurer, and information chief.
Noh's appointment was also announced by the Umno Selangor Facebook page. - Mkini
