PETALING JAYA: The entire state of Perlis is now a Covid-19 green zone, with no active cases in any of its 22 townships.
An infographic from the state health department shows that there are no longer any active cases from among the 18 recorded throughout the state, with two casualties.
Meanwhile, a health ministry infographic shows 14 districts in the country which are active red zones with more than 40 cases still being treated, and seven orange zones with 21 to 40 cases still being treated.
There are 65 green zone districts with zero active cases nationwide.
The active red zones are:
- Cheras, Kepong, Lembah Pantai and Titiwangsa (Kuala Lumpur)
- Petaling, Hulu Langat, and Klang (Selangor)
- Johor Bahru and Kluang (Johor)
- Kuching and Kota Samarahan (Sarawak)
- Melaka Tengah (Melaka)
- Seremban (Negeri Sembilan)
- Kuantan (Pahang)
To date, a total of 5,482 Covid-19 cases have been recorded in the country with 92 deaths. Some 3,349 people have recovered while 2,041 are still being treated. - FMT
