CORONAVIRUS | Sarawak police chief Aidi Ismail has tested positive for the Covid-19 virus.
Adi told Malaysiakini that he went to the Sarawak General Hospital (HUS) yesterday afternoon after developing a sore throat.
The hospital rang him last night to inform him that he needed to be hospitalised for treatment.
"I went back to HUS last night and have since been admitted," he added.
Aid said, his wife and officers who worked closely with him at the Sarawak police contingent headquarters, including those in his office, have been ordered to self-quarantine pending results from their Covid-19 tests.
