Simpang Renggam enhanced MCO extended to April 14

Malaysiakini

CORONAVIRUS | The enhanced movement control order (MCO) on two towns in Simpang Renggam, Johor will be extended to April 14.
Defence Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob said this was to solve "several matters" which are still being dealt with.
The enhanced MCO in Simpang Renggam was supposed to end tomorrow.
So far 174 cases of Covid-19 have been detected in that area.
Meanwhile, on whether there will be an enhanced MCO in Rembau, Negeri Sembilan, Ismail said this would depend on the advice of the Health Ministry.
The question arose after a sub-cluster from the Sri Petaling cluster was detected in the Negeri Sembilan district.
Likewise, he said the Health Ministry's advice will determine whether or not the MCO in general will be extended beyond April 14.
Earlier, Ismail said that compliance with the MCO was at 97 percent.
The MCO was put in place on March 18 in an effort to curb the spread of Covid-19.
As of yesterday, there are 4,119 total cases in the country, with 65 deaths.
There have also been 1,487 recoveries, which is 36.1 percent of total infections. - Mkini
