Some Questions For The Salafi / Wahabi Braders And Maybe For The Candidates For Mufti FT

Pejabat Mufti Wilayah Persekutuan - Ibu Pejabat - Home | Facebook

Non Muslims will find this to be plodding. You can skip if you wish.
Christians who know the Bible may find this interesting.
Muslims do read this - even if it is plodding.

I though I would raise some questions and points on this lazy Wednesday for the renungan of the brader-brader salafi / wahabi and maybe for the interest of any of the possible candidates for the position of the FT Mufti.

1. Ke mana perginya kesemua khutbah Jumaat nabi / Where have all the prophet's Friday sermons gone?

They say that :

the Prophet was born in 570 AD.

his mission began in 610 AD. He was 40 years old.

the Israʾ dan Miʿraj happened on 621 AD (the FIVE daily prayers story).
The prophet was 51 years old.

The Hijrah to Madinah took place on 623 AD. The prophet was 53 years old.

Upon his arrival in Madinah the prophet built the first mosque ie the Masjid Quba. Hence the first Friday sermon was also held at that Masjid Quba in 623 AD.

The prophet died in 632 AD at age 62.

In the nine years (623 AD - 632 AD) after he built the Masjid Quba and till his death in 632 AD there were 468 weeks (my mistake earlier).

Where are the complete records of 468 (at least) of these Friday sermons?
Where is the full set?

The Sahih Bukhari does not have a complete record of all the prophet's Friday sermons.  (Selain khutbah jumaat pertama dan terakhir).

How come the Sahih Bukhari does not have the full set of all the prophet's Friday sermons? The salafi / wahabis are ready to condemn people and even sentence people to death based on the Sahih Bukhari.  Surely Friday sermons are extremely important. So where are the complete records of ALL the prophet's Friday sermons?

2. When Bukhari died he did not leave behind a complete book or fully compiled edition of the Sahih Bukhari.

There is no such thing as the original version of Bukhari's book written and compiled by his own hands.  The most widely accepted  version of the Sahih Bukhari was compiled by Ibnu Hajar Askalani who died in 1449 AD ie 450 years after Bukhari.

So there was no original version of Sahih Bukhari written by the hands of Bukhari himself.  Can anyone explain this?

3.  The Quran does not say that the Torah / Taurat was revealed to Moses / Nabi Musa. The Quran says that Moses was given a book 'Kitab' or 'Suhuf'.

Sila rujuk Surah 17:2 "wa aataina musa al kitaaba" - "dan Kami telah memberikan kepada Musa al Kitab".

Sura 87:19 'suhufi ibraheem wa musa' -  the 'books' (suhoof) of Abraham and Moses.

There is no direct mention that Moses was given the Torah / Taurat.
There is no mention of Moses and the Torah together in any verse in the Quran.

The Quran mentions that the Torah was also taught to Jesus / Isa .

Sura 5:110  "wa-iz  'AL-LAM-TUKA al kitaba wal hikmata WAL TAWRAATA WAL INJEELA"    -

I  TAUGHT  you (Jesus / Isa) the Book, the wisdom, THE TORAH AND THE INJEEL

Sura 61:6  And when Jesus, the son of Mary said: "O children of Israel I am Allah's messenger to you, confirming what is between my hands from the Torah (bayna yaday-ya min al tawraati)  . .

Sura 5:46 And We sent thereafter Jesus, son of Mary confirming what was between his hands from the Torah (bayna yaday-hi min al tawraati) and We gave him the Injeel . . . .

There are NO other similar verses in the Quran which say that the Torah / Tawrat was taught or even given to Moses.

4. No direct connection between Bani Israel (Children of Israel) and the Yahud in the Quran

The Bani Israel (Children of Israel) are mentioned about 30 times in the Quran.

Both Moses / Nabi Musa and Jesus / Nabi Isa were sent to the Bani Israel.

But the Yahud (Jews??) are mentioned separately from the Bani Israel.

In the Quran there is no direct connection between the Bani Israel and the Yahud.

In the Quran,  Abraham / Nabi Ibrahim was neither a Yahud or a Nasara (Nasarene).

[Sura 3:67]  Abraham was neither Yahud nor Nasara (Nasarene); he was a submitter. He never was an idol worshiper.

Not only Abraham but Ismail, Isaac (Nabi Ishak), Jacob (Nabi Yakub) and the Patriarchs  were also neither Yahud or Nasara.

[Sura 2:140] Do you say that Abraham, Ismail, Isaac, Jacob, and the Patriarchs were Yahud or Nasara (nasarene) ? Say, "Do you know better than Allah? Who is more evil than one who conceals a testimony he has learned from Allah? Allah is never unaware of anything you do."

The words TORAH and HADOO are common to only one verse, Surah 5:44 .

Literally the derivatives YAHUD / HADOO /  HUD / HUDA mean guided / guidance.

In 5:44 the translators refer HADOO as Jews, Judaism and Judaized.

However I found one translator who does translate HADOO in 5:44 (correctly I believe) as "guided".

Farooq Khan Mohamed Shaikh - Sura 5:44

"That We descended the Torah, in it (is) guidance and light, the prophets those who submitted/surrendered,  judge with it, to those who (are) guided ..."

So in the Quran there is no DIRECT link between the Bani Israel and the Yahud.

This point is perhaps relevant for FOF identification,  especially in the modern day Palestine - Israel conflict. FOF is military terminology for  "Friend or Foe".

As with a thousand other things the traditional "Muslim" understanding of Jews does fit in exactly with what the Jewish people say about themselves.

Here I am merely pointing out what the Quran says - which is ALWAYS different from what the traditional understanding says.

You can find a lot of material discussing if Jew means a race (ethnicity), a religious identity, cultural identity, historical identity etc.

Clearly more reading and understanding needs to be done about what is really written in the Quran.

5. Mary the sister of Aaron / Harun. Meaning Moses is the uncle of Jesus.

In Sura 19:28  Mary the mother of Jesus is addressed as "O sister of Aaron - yaa ukhti haroon".

Since Aaron (Nabi Harun) is the brother of Moses, this means Moses is the uncle of Jesus. "Traditional religion" says Moses and Jesus were 1,000 years apart.

I say tradition because there is no historical evidence for any of the prophets and messengers. Any means ALL ok. Historical evidence means scientifically, verifiable
evidence. Its all 'he said, they said, we believe' etc etc.

So how do you explain Sura 19:28?

6. Final point - how did the malaikat know?

In Surah 2:30 the malaikah complain to Allah about the creation of mankind (who has not been created yet). The malaikah say the human will create mischief and shed blood.

[Surah 2:30] Recall that your Lord said to the malaikah, "I am placing a representative on Earth." They said, "Will You place therein one who will spread evil therein and shed blood, while we sing Your praises, glorify You, and uphold Your absolute authority?" He said, "I know what you do not know."

In Surah 2:32 the malaikah admit they do not know anything except what Allah tells them.

Surah 2:32  They said, "Be You glorified, we have no knowledge, except that which You have taught us. You are the Omniscient, Most Wise."

Ok if the malaikah do not know anything except what they are told, then how did the malaikah come to complain (in 2:30) that the human being will create mischief and shed blood?

Maybe the salafi / wahabi brothers and any potential mufti candidates can find time to answer these points.
