Perak ruler Sultan Nazrin Shah will grant an audience to outgoing Perak Menteri Besar Ahmad Faizal Azumu.
According to Astro Awani, Faizal confirmed this but the time of his audience was not specified.
Meanwhile, Malaysiakini understood that the Sultan (above) will grant an audience to Perak legislative assembly speaker Mohamad Zahir Abdul Khalid at 5pm.
Earlier today, Zahir adjourned the legislative assembly to next Wednesday in order to communicate the decision of the House today to oust Faizal as menteri besar.
Faizal was ousted after 48 out of 59 assemblypersons voted to reject a motion of confidence brought by Pengkalan Bharu assemblyperson Abd Manaf Hashim.
Abd Manaf is part of the BN coalition, which is supposed to be in alliance with the Perikatan Nasional (PN) coalition. Faizal leads the Perak chapter of PN.
Technically, Faizal is still the menteri besar until he resigns before the Sultan.
Shortly after being ousted, Faizal told the press that he could request for the legislative assembly to be dissolved, but he won't.
"Do we want that (the assembly to be dissolved)? No way. The situation is not conducive for an election," he said while hinting that the PN-BN-PAS alliance in the state was still intact.
Meanwhile, Malaysiakini understood that the Sultan will grant an audience to the state secretary Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim and state legal advisor Azmir Shah Zainal Abidin at 4.30pm. - FMT
