Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Abdul Hamid Bador has denied claims that the police force is being used as a tool to support the Perikatan Nasional government.
“Anyone can make guesses, criticisms, assumptions and insinuate anything just to portray the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) as a tool for the government.
“I repeat, I am firm in my stand that whatever action that was taken by my side, has nothing to do with politics.
“Before this, some were saying that the PDRM had taken action against opposition leaders, whether in the past or now,” Abdul Hamid Bador said during a press conference at Bukit Aman today.
He was responding to a question about Pakatan Harapan’s claim that the PN administration was using government agencies including the PDRM as a political weapon in order to shore up its support.
