The conditional movement control order (MCO) in Perak and a large portion of Kedah and Negeri Sembilan will be replaced with the recovery MCO for two weeks, beginning tomorrow.
Defence Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob said this decision was made at a National Security Council meeting yesterday as the three states saw an improving trend in Covid-19 cases.
"However, Kuala Muda and Kulim in Kedah and Seremban in Negeri Sembilan will remain under a conditional MCO due to active clusters in these areas," he told a press conference today.
The senior minister in charge of security also announced that the conditional MCO in five states and a federal territory will be extended.
They are Selangor, Johor, Penang, Kelantan, Sarawak, and Kuala Lumpur.
Similarly, the recovery MCO in four states and two federal territories scheduled to end by March 18, will continue for another two weeks until March 31.
The affected areas are Perlis, Pahang, Terengganu, Sabah, Labuan, and Putrajaya.
