KUALA LUMPUR: The Sri Sithi Vinayagar Temple in Petaling Jaya will be closed until March 20 after three devotees tested positive for Covid-19.
According to a notice posted on the temple's Facebook page this morning, the closure was to enable sanitisation works to be carried out at the premises.
"It has just come to our attention that three of our devotees have recently tested positive for Covid 19.
"They were at the temple on the morning of Mar 11, and one of them also attended the Mahasivarathiri prayers the same night," the notice read.
The note also called on devotees to be cautious and to self-quarantine. Devotees were also advised to go for tests if they show symptoms.
The temple said daily live streaming of pooja (worship ritual) will continue as scheduled. - NST
