Sarawak CMCO extended to March 29

PETALING JAYA: The conditional movement control (CMCO) in Sarawak has been extended to March 29, the state’s disaster management committee announced today.

The CMCO, which was supposed to end on March 15, has been extended another 14 days in view of the rising number of Covid-19 cases in the state.

Malaysia recorded 1,575 Covid-19 cases today, with 173 reported in Sarawak. This brought the cumulative number of cases in the state to 12,051.

Sibu recorded the highest number of cases with 71, the majority of which came from close contact screenings.

Meanwhile, 203 patients in the state had recovered. Some 9,590 patients, or 79.58% of total cases recorded, have been discharged. - FMT
