KLUANG: A 25-year-old woman was injured after an accident with a police patrol car at KM88 on Jalan Kluang-Kota Tinggi on Wednesday (March 3).
Kluang OCPD Asst Comm Law Hang Seng said Lau Lee Sin from Taman Kampung Majid near here was hurt in the 3.35pm incident.
He said policeman Muhammad Noorfadzlee Mohd Fozei, 33, who was driving the police patrolling car and his colleague, 35, escaped unhurt.
“Initial investigation showed the policemen were travelling from Kluang towards Kota Tinggi on their way to the Kluang Hospital and the woman was coming from the opposite direction, ’’ ACP Law said in a statement.
He said the police car hit the woman’s vehicle when the latter was making a right turn entering the junction towards Taman Kampung Majid.
ACP Law said the woman was sent to Enche’ Besar Hajjah Kalsom Besar Hospital Kluang for treatment and added that the case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987. - Star
