A member of the People's Volunteer Corps (Rela) has filed a police report against a car driver who allegedly attempted to run him over in front of a school.
In his report, the complainant S Janagan said the incident happened when he was monitoring traffic along Jalan Anggerik Doritis 31/143 near SMK Kota Kemuning in Shah Alam around 5.20pm yesterday.
According to him, the road has been turned into a one-way under the instruction of the school principal and the residents association during the peak hour for the safety of the students.
"Suddenly, a BMW car entered the lane from the opposite side and I tried to stop him but the driver attempted to run over me.
"I asked the driver to turn around, but he refused," he said.
Janagan also mentioned in the report, which was filed in Shah Alam this morning, that the car driver had obstructed a public officer from carrying out his duties.
The incident was captured in a short clip that shows a man, clad in a Rela uniform, standing in front of a car.
The car then reversed before slowly going forward which forced him to move aside. - Mkini
