Police will question Prasarana boss Tajuddin Abdul Rahman for not wearing a face mask during a press conference.
Dang Wangi district police chief Mohamad Zainal Abdullah said this is part of an investigation on a viral video showing Tajuddin not wearing a mask yesterday during his press conference on the LRT accident.
It is unclear if police will also investigate Tajuddin (above) for not wearing a mask when speaking to the media while in the LRT on Monday.
In both incidents, Tajuddin wore a mask during his walkabout, but took it off and put on a face shield without a mask when speaking to the press.
Defence Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob said not wearing a mask under a face shield was an offence.
Police are investigating the case under the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Act, as well as the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Regulations (Measures within the Infected Local Areas).
Zainal said all those involved would be called in to give their statements soon.
"As such, police would advise the public to comply with SOPs released by the National Security Council.
"Failure to comply with SOPs can result in action being taken," he added. - Mkini
