Approximately 14.5 percent of the population has received at least one Covid-19 vaccine dose as of last night (June 23), according to the Special Committee On Covid-19 Vaccine Supply (JKJAV).
This includes 5.5 percent of the population who have also received their second dose and are therefore considered fully vaccinated.
The highest vaccination rate was seen in Kuala Lumpur (46.5 percent with at least one dose) followed by Putrajaya (32.3 percent) and Labuan (29.5 percent).
The lowest vaccination rate was seen in Sabah (9 percent), Kedah (10.1 percent), and Terengganu (10.4 percent).
Sarawak and Negeri Sembilan, which is currently among the worst hit by Covid-19, has a vaccination rate of 27.5 percent and 13.5 percent respectively.
As of yesterday, 15.6 million people, or 48 percent of the population have registered for vaccination. - Mkini
