Annuar Musa subject of ridicule on social media
for saying people unafraid of Covid is indicator of success in controlling pandemic
he said people flouted restrictions - they were not concerned about Covid-19
- an indication we have successfully controlled this outbreak
- no longer considered as such by some people
- That shows success,” Malaysiakini quoted him as saying.
Kuching MP Dr Kelvin Yii said Annuar’s comments highly insensitive
MUDA co-founder Lim Wei Jiet (was a bit complicated lah)
PKR’s Fahmi Fadzil was more succinct. “Are you for real?”
Azrul Khalib, CEO Galen : “such people cannot be allowed to be part of govt”
Twitter user @markcheongwl had to check if news was not satire
My comments : Ala-bapak !! So what is all the fuss about Annuar Musa's comments?
I think the media heard him differently. How do you know that is what he really said? But whatever he is reported to have said, you can be sure that he knows exactly what he really meant despite what you think he said.
Just like that other fellow. You all really misunderstood him. He said super clearly that those two LRT trains just kissed each other. The trains were just kissing. What can be more harmless than two trains kissing? There was no great train crash. And for that they fired him? What a bunch of nitwits.
So now Annuar Musa says the people who dare to break all the movement control orders (MCOs) and break the laws are actually doing so because the government has been successful in controlling the pandemic. It is actually an appreciation of the government's efforts.
So by this fantastic logic we can expect that more people will be breaking the MCOs in even greater appreciation of the government's efforts in reducing the pandemic.
So does this mean that the MCO will not be extended beyond the 28th June 2021?
Well.. I dont want to be a kill-joy 'party pooper' but today there were 5,841 new cases with 84 deaths - including 11 people who had already died before arrival at the hospital.
This is a result of the virus still spreading. Annuar Musa should tell the people in Ketereh not to break the laws yet. Wait a little longer.
The views expressed are those of the writer and do not necessarily reflect those of MMKtT.
