Repair work on the communication tower in Batu 10, Hutan Melintang, Perak that caught fire on June 4 was fully completed yesterday (June 6), said the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC).
“Local residents who experienced disruptions due to the incident can now enjoy communication and internet coverage as usual,” it said in a statement today.
In the Friday incident, the tower owned by Digi, and shared by Celcom and Maxis, caught fire and caused communication and internet coverage disruptions in surrounding areas.
MCMC thanked all the service providers for their commitment to carrying out repair work on the communication tower and ensuring that work was completed within the stipulated period for the benefit of all users.
