PM chaired NSC meeting from hospital

 

Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin today chaired a National Security Council (NSC) meeting from the hospital.

Muhyiddin’s statement today comes amidst speculation that he was severely ill. He was hospitalised on June 30.

In all photographs depicting Muhyiddin, his right hand with the hospital wristbands are clearly depicted.

Muhyiddin said the NSC had discussed the enhanced movement control order in parts of Selangor and Kuala Lumpur.

He also received a report on state-level monitoring conducted in relation to the National Recovery Plan (NRP).

“Praise be to God. Five states have moved into Phase 2 of the NRP.

“Several other states are showing positive developments and could potentially achieve all three thresholds needed (to enter Phase 2) soon,” said Muhyiddin.

Muhyiddin hoped that the Covid-19 pandemic will continue to be under control and more Malaysians will be vaccinated soon, in view of more vaccines arriving this month.

“I express gratitude to volunteers, political parties, the private sector and the public who are offering help to Malaysians in need, (to supplement) aid from the government,” he said.- Mkini
